Many of the characters are human (or largely human) in appearance; Ford Prefect, Arthur Dent and Trillion need nothing other than a slightly film star effect make-over. Zaphod Beeblebrox has a slightly different problem in that he grows body parts from time to time. Animation techniques cope with this even better than my imagination ever did - I was extremely impressed. And of course, Marvin the Android was exactly as he should be.
