Apple Unveils 'Motion' Graphics Application
Over the weekend, Apple unveiled their new motion graphics package, succinctly titled Motion. Available this summer, the software boasts real-time previews, behaviorial (as opposed to keyframe-based) animation, natural simulations, a particle systems, and much more. Presumably a competitor to Adobe's After Effects, the most eye-catching part of the announcement was the price: just $299.
As of yet, there are only a few screenshots, but it looks like a pretty awesome package for the price -- particularly for people already using Apple software like Final Cut Pro since it sounds like Motion will be closely integrated with the existing apps. Hopefully they'll put up more info (maybe a QuickTime overview) as the release date approaches.
