Film/Video Students to Submit Promo Films
Falling under the category of "Type of Opportunity Aspiring Animation Students Should Seek", AWN reports that the Los Angeles Convention and Visitor's Bureau has commissioned the CalArts School of Film/Video to make films highlighting the city's landmark cultural institutions and reflecting the "new L.A." as a vibrant cultural epicenter and edgy arts maverick. The one minute films will be created by CalArts students and will include animation.
Lesson to be learned? This is the type of opportunity an aspiring animation student should seize. Opps like this, though not frequent, do exist. Anytime you get an opportunity to do work, take it. Draw every day. If you need to develop your skills more in depth, get yourself into a school.
