Animation Education for High School and Middle School Students

Credit Royer Studios' Classroom Animation Studio for something cool and unique in the world of animation education. Their "Classroom Animation Studio" is a "unique hands-on program in which students work together to produce and develop animated public service announcements on tobacco use prevention, alcohol and drug awareness, violence prevention, and other timely issues".

The program looks to be a great way for teachers to expose students to the animation art form and engage them in addressing pertinent issues effecting young people in society today. Royer Studios is also taking this program to the streets through its "Classroom Awareness through Animation Program". The program has as its goal to reach 2 schools in each of California's 58 counties in the 2004-2005 school year. Kudos to Royer.
