A Variety of Students, Instructors, and Career Paths at Online Animation School
The instructors who teach at online animation schools aren’t just animators. They are qualified animators. Some of them have worked on projects such as Finding Nemo and Star Wars: Episode III. The graduating class included more than 150 students from more than 20 countries.
Instructors taught animation courses using webcams and 3D animation software. And the number of instructors totaled about 1/3 of the students in the animation degree program, making the student-teacher ratio much smaller than on-campus degree programs.
Efficient and Affordable: Online Animation School
The CA-based animation school offered its animation degree over an 18 month period, and all at a cost that totaled less than $10,000. Each animation course was taken entirely online, freeing students to manage jobs, families, and any other responsibilities they may have had.
Why Online?
There are several good reasons to seek out an online animation school for an animation degree:
- It costs less.
- It is computer-intensive.
- It is taught by working animators.
As evidenced above, an online degree can cost as little as $8,000 to $9,000. This is about half as much as a degree from an on-campus university.
Especially for students in computer animation, the computer is the main tool. Students in online animation degree programs use the computer exclusively to earn their degree.
Online animation school is taught not only by instructors, but instructors who are still gaining industry experience.
An animation degree is the first step toward an animation career. The internet can be a great place to start both for the dedicated animator.
