Pixar Takes (or Keeps) the Lead in Animation
A Promising Partnership
With Disney’s recent purchase of Pixar, the mouse house has put itself back in lead position in cartoon animation. In a recent interview with Fortune, Disney Chief, Robert Iger, talked about the global impact of animation, and how Pixar is leading Disney’s animation efforts. He said it was the cartoon animation that has made the company so successful on a global scale.
The upcoming release of Cars, Disney and Pixar’s latest collaboration, uses the same model that made Toy Story and Toy Story 2 instant classics. The film caters to children and adults alike, with lovable characters to entertain the kids and double entendres to entertain the parents.
With Pixar at the wheel of modern feature animation, the industry has a lot to look forward to.
