Nemo, Krumpet win Animation Oscars
Two animation-related awards were given out at last night's Oscar ceremonies in Los Angeles. Pixar's Finding Nemo took home the prize for Animated Feature Film and Adam Elliot's Harvie Krumpet won the award for Animated Short Film. As much as I enjoyed Finding Nemo, I was really pulling for The Triplets of Belleville; I loved the character of Madame Souza and the swingin' soundtrack is still in heavy rotation around my house.
Check out Animation World Network's Oscar showcase, which includes background information and (in most cases) clips of all the animated nominees.
