Animation Growth Means Job Opportunities for Animation Graduates
Animation Growing Strong
The animation and special effects industry is predicted to exceed $100 billion in two years, indicating a growth rate of over 7% each year.
That’s not the only place for animation, either. The video game industry is said to grow to over $55 billion by 2008, and e-learning to grow to over $23 billion. There are also the industries of mobile gaming, television advertising, digital media, science and technology, and more.
An International Animation Industry
In other words, animation is growing. Fast. These signs of growth are not limited to the number of big budget Hollywood animation features that keep coming out, or just to the US. While a majority of the global animation market exists within American borders, animation is a global industry involving countries like India, Japan, China, and other major players.
Meeting the Animation Need
Animation schools are helping meet the need for new animation jobs in the industry. Many animation school students think that jobs at studios are the only way to a career in animation. Animation jobs can be found in any one of the fields mentioned above; films aren’t the only place for animation. TV, the internet, video games, marketing and advertising firms, graphic design firms, the list goes on - animation jobs can be found just about everywhere you look. The over $100 billion industry has wide reaching arms.
